Snow Monkey Park Bus Trip to Snow Monkey Park (Yudanaka, Nagano)
7:00 am: Take a highway bus from Tokyo

You may depart from Shinjuku Station or Tokyo Station.

Highway bus (4 hours)
11:00 am: Arrival at Nagano Station (Arena Bus Terminal)

From the east exit of Nagano JR Station (bus arrival port), there is an underground walkway which will take you to the railway station.
Switch to the Nagano local railway express.
Enjoy the view as you head towards your destination!
12:10 pm: Switch to Nagano local railway to head towards Yudanaka Station

Train ride (40 minutes)
1:00 pm: Arrival in Yudanaka Station

You have now arrived in Yudanaka Onsen, a source of enjoyment and healing which has been around since the antiquity!
Head towards the source of the hot spring and visit the Jigokudani Monkey Park to see the snow monkeys!
You will find "Chamise" 2 minutes on foot from the train station. There, services in English are available. Feel free to get tourism-related information here!
Transportation (in Chinese and English)
Board the bus heading towards Kanbayashi Onsen and get off at the "Kanbayashi Onsen" stop. From there, walk along the mountain path for about 30 minutes
At about 1:40 pm, board the bus heading to Jigokudani Monkey Park.

Snow Monkeys!
Since its opening in 1964, the Jigokudani Monkey Park has been extremely popular. Here, you can take an in-depth visit and observe Japanese monkeys in their natural surroundings.
See the monkeys bathe in the hot springs surrounded by mountains of snow! Please be sure to wear appropriate footwear and clothes as you will need to tread along many snow-covered walkways in this park.
Please note:
The Jigokudani Monkey Park is a Nature Reserve where visitors can observe wild Japanese monkeys in a safe environment. This is a Nature Reserve with highly complex biodiversity. Do not wear flip flops and be sure to dress accordingly. In the winter, expect heavy snowfall; be sure to wear appropriate footwear and clothes. A final friendly reminder: the monkeys in the park are not pets.
Do not take out food or feed the monkeys.
Do not touch or act like you are going to touch the monkeys.
Do not stay too close to the monkeys.
Do not use a selfie stick around the monkeys, as it may scare them.
Please be sure to adhere to the above guidelines.

Check out SORA terrace where you can feast your eyes to a sea of clouds and some of nature's most mystic wonders.
