Tofu-an Yamanaka (Unohana donuts)
Tofu-an Yamanaka (Unohana donuts)
It's true, there are so many delicious eateries in Oharaimachi that you may struggle to pick just one -- but Tofu-an Yamanaka certainly stands out for its unohana donuts, especially if you have a sweet tooth.
As the name Tofu-an Yamanaka might hint, these donuts are made by a dedicated tofu (bean curd) shop. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, these seem like a donut so perfect that you may hesitate to indulge -- but rest assured, as they are made with soy milk and unohana (soy pulp), making them a healthy option.
Another popular option is tofu ice cream, containing over 50% tofu.
