Toraya Uiro Naiku-mae shop
Toraya Uiro Naiku-mae shop
Toraya is a fun confectionary shop that will make your eyes boggle at the selection of "uiro" (sweet mochi).
The variety of flavors include the traditional red bean "ogura", chestnut, cherry blossom, and green tea, to name a few. There are also novel flavors for which Toraya is famous for, such as white chocolate, watermelon, salt, and squash.
The shop opened in 1923 and still continues to grow. All sweets are free of preservatives, another feature that has earned the shop its loyal customers.
