Oharaimachi and Okage Yokocho
Step out onto the beautiful cobblestone streets of Oharaimachi and Okage Yokocho and feel as if you've traveled back in time to the Edo period (1603-1868). Visitors flock daily to see the traditional buildings along the street. These two areas are now established destinations that you must see on your trip.

Classic streets stretch from Ise Shrine Naiku-mae and along the Isuzu River, with shops plying delicacies like Ise udon and Ise kamaboko (Ise Speciality fish paste). Akafuku Honten is a veteran shop that sells Akafuku mochi, a famous souvenir. There is also the Okage-za Museum of Japanese Mythology, where you can experience the legends and tales of Japanese mythology. .
